SAIL THE MEDWAY & RAISE MONEY FOR SPORT RELIEF. SailTime is the world’s leading sailing membership company and Nigel & Kathy are opening a new SailTime base in Chatham Maritime Marina in March 2008. As a launch event and to help raise money for Sport Relief, we are getting as many people as possible to get active and come sailing during Sunday 16th March. We will be spending the day sailing our new 34ft yacht Pippin in circles - 6 mile circuits that will each take about an hour. We are inviting friends & local residents to experience the Medway and trusting that they will also sponsor us for the experience! “Pippin” is a brand new Beneteau Oceanis 34ft sailing yacht with all the required safety gear and life jackets. You just need some warm, rainproof clothing. Youngsters under 18 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult. Given the nature of the Medway from Chatham Maritime to Folly Point, all possible points of sailing will be experienced on the sail there and back. So not only will we be raising money, we’ll also have a great time in the process! And if you aren’t keen to get involved on deck, you can always watch events unfold from the warmth of the centrally heated cabins! OUR CHALLENGE: To get as many people sailing the Medway as possible.
