My name is Ian Wood. I am a visually impaired wheelchair user! I am doing the sports relief mile with one of my pa’s. My pa is pushing me, as I have no means of informing the public I can’t see too well! I suffer from mitochondria disease. I am doing the sports relief mile so as to help the charity sports relief. Also to help underprivileged people! I have benefitted from other charities other the last few years. I feel it is time to put something back in. As well as raising money for sport relief, I hope to raise the awareness that there is a need for a national symbol to show the public that the wheelchair user has a visual impairment.
