ALL DONE !!! between 12 o'clock and 12:30 today i completed my 3 mile run in 30 minutes - i ran the whole distance without stopping or walking A big thank-you to all who have sponsored me i have raised over £250 Jac I've entered the Sports Relief mile on the 21st March in Okehampton. I decided to do this when I saw on the news all about the disaster in Haiti and all the poor people there, young and old who have no homes and have lost their families. We have so much; I decided I should do something to help them, what I’m going to do is run a half marathon that 13.1 miles. You may be aware that because I’m a young person (11yrs) it would be bad for my joints and bones to run that far. Especially given the training I’d have to do, for it so what I’m going to run it over a period of 5 weeks: 17th February 2.1miles - completed 23rd February 2.1miles - completed 3rd March 2.1miles - completed 11th March 2.1miles - completed 17th March 2.1miles - completed 21st March Sports Relief 3miles TOTAL 13.5 MILES. the initial 2.1 mile stages will be run around the block in Shebbear with an old grey man puffing and blowing along behind me to make sure I don't cheat :-) Sports Relief have already given money to the Haiti appeal and intend to give more after this event, I will be proud to have helped with this effort please help me.
